Specification of the education International Management

 

Concurrently with the business world becoming more and more globalised through foreign partners and jobs and companies moving abroad and foreign labour force naturally gliding into the business world in Denmark the students want knowledge about other cultures.

The elective education International Management aims at giving the students cultural understanding and cross-culture management to ease the transition to working abroad, including BRICS Countries and African Countries. Furthermore, the education qualifies the student to hold leadership positions in the Danish business world.

 

The education International Management has been developed in cooperation with the Danish Foreign Ministry, companies with many years’ experience from foreign nations and persons who have proven the ability to make companies work and develop in other cultures.

 

The education International Management comprises 65 lessons and is evaluated by an individual assignment about setting up a business in a BRICS Country or an African Country.

 

The subject International Management has been based on the Foreign Ministry’s strategy concerning increased Internationalisation of Educations (2004).

 

The education International Management comprises:

 

  • Multi-cultural management, cross-cultural management

  • Human right, cooperation and enforcement.

  • How to start a business in a third world country according to the Danish Foreign Ministry B2B program?

  • Basic contract and handling

  • Authorities, business ethics in a third world country

  • What makes a business work in a third world country?

  • Corrupt practices in third world countries

  • Business Integrity Management Systems - BIMS

  • Evaluation of the professional competence of a person in a third world country

  • Employment in various businesses abroad

  • Submission of tenders

  • Democracy in third world countries

  • Tropical diseases in third world countries

  • IT-security in third world countries

  • Weak states and explosion of the population

  • Social Corporate Responsibility – CSR

  • Logical Framework Approach - LFA

  • Africa Commission

  • The old Africa and the new Africa after 2000, with many highly educated and many international educated youth.

 

 

Beskrivelse af uddannelsen International Management

Itakt med at erhvervslivet bliver mere og mere globaliseret gennem udenlandske samarbejdspartnere og job og virksomheder flytter til udlandet og udenlandsk arbejdskraft naturligt glider ind i erhvervslivet i Danmark ønsker de studerende viden om andre kulturer.

Formålet med uddannelsen International Management er at give de studerende kulturforståelse og Cross-Culture Management for at lette overgangen til at kunne arbejde i udlandet, herunder BRICS lande og afrikanske vækstlande. Desuden kvalificerer uddannelsen den studerende til at kunne indtage lederposter i dansk erhvervsliv.

Uddannelsen International Management er udviklet i samarbejde med Udenrigsministeriet, erhvervsvirksomheder med mange års erfaring fra udlandet og personer, der har bevist, at de formår at få erhvervsvirksomheder til at fungere og udvikle sig i andre kulturer.

Uddannelsen omfatter 65 lektioner og evalueres ved en selvstændig skriftlig afslutningsopgave omhandlende, etablering af en erhvervsvirksomhed i et BRICS land eller et afrikansk vækstland.

Uddannelsen bygger på Undervisningsministeriets strategi vedrørende ”Styrket Internationalisering af Uddannelser” fra 2004.
